Leaders: Responsibilities and Resources

This one is for managers and team leaders, but to encourage conversations and the 360 degree loop this a also useful no matter your position.

Team leaders should encourage the conversation; know your team and observe when behaviour is amiss and know how to access supporting resources and avenues

  • ensure team members have completed this, or similar training (prepare staff)
  • review workflows and file management procedures to make sure that they minimise unnecessary exposure to traumatic imagery
  • discuss how the team will support themselves and each other 
  • respect people’s needs to develop their own workflows and strategies for handing traumatic content
